US healthcare is no longer a service. It has been replaced by a controlled, data-driven, profit-oriented, managed-care business model, bypassing the needs of patients whose value is the disease they carry. Patients for Change is a clearinghouse for educational, physical and mental health support programs in the Bay Area, with hopes to spread nationwide. Programs will include free patient-support listings, recovery groups for cancer patients, inner energy exercise for seniors and others, outdoor health walks, plus webinars and seminars.
